I'm just glad SciFi's airing "Knight Rider" episodes at all; I thought the channel had given up on "Knight Rider" altogether.....! Chances are they will once all 4 seasons are released on DVD, but until then I'm grateful for seeing seasons 2-4. Especially looking forward to Junk...

Very Nice! Not bad at all. I love building plastic model kits...although I don't have a KITT kit yet (no pun intended) I do have a tu-tone black-and-silver '78 Corvette. It was the Indy pace car from that year, but it kind of reminded me of KARR a little bit. Like you, my models have a few imperfect...

Everyone's forgotten the real reason for the updated paint job:

(As evidenced by the avatars herein) it looks hot!

Nope...sorry, I disagree with that. While I like the idea of an updated KITT, he really has to have more than a passing resemblance to classic KITT and for me the black bowling ball wheel covers are absolutely a part of that. Spinners in wheels are a little too "blinging" (sic) for KITT......

I like the idea of a "gliding" system...after all, if the original KITT had a parachute ability, why couldn't a new improved KITT have a gliding ability? Turbo boost into the air as normal, and before the car begins it's descent, extend the "wings" (or whatever) to allow it to gl...

Of course they would...If they had no intention of bringing him back they probably wouldn't have bothered establishing the fact that in some sense KARR was still "alive."

Yeah, on reflection I agree with you Sith, those are all very good points. I must admit, my "contact Rockstar" idea, while genuine, is probably heavily biased by the fact that lately I've been playing the heck out of San Andreas...every time I end up in the desert area in a black car I thi...

On page 4 of this thread, jacktherattle suggested writing enmasse to EA or Activision to create a Knight Rider game utilising the list of suggestions posted by members of this board to Davilex. I think he's thinking along the right lines, but I'd change one thing. I think the company we should write...

I know what you mean about the quality Knight Raider, for me it was the sound that was a pain (although I still have three eps to watch). I had to hook up the speakers I normally leave on my DVD player....I suppose it was because I'm so used to the great sound on the DVDs that it just seemed tinny a...

Afternoon schedule cleared so I can sit in front of the TV.

I can't wait. :D

Also, spot the deliberate mistake. I know they did this one a lot, but I like noticing it: In the second of these pics (the side on view of the Trans Am, you can see the curved top of a standard steering wheel through the windshield. And KITT's usual nosecone was DEFINITELY an improvement over the o...

Wow! Big box indeed. I think the reason for that is because other regions, specifically Europe, got more discs in their sets. Here in the US we got 3 double-sided discs and 1 standard disc, equalling seven sides of playable media. In Europe I think all the discs are standard discs, meaning (assuming...

In answer to the original question, the phrase where KITT "introduces" himself to Michael in the pilot: "I am the voice of the Knight Industry Two Thousand's microprocessor. K-I-T-T for easy reference, KITT if you prefer..." ...and television history was made. The voice modulator...

There are also certain scenes where if you look closely the camera catches the "bag" behind the driver's seat where the stunt driver is. Back in the 80s it probably would have required too many visible antennae and big technology attatched to the car to drive it remotely. If they had to d...

There are a lot of scenes like that in Knight Rider. It was obviously cheaper to reuse footage wherever possible than shoot it again, although sometimes it meant really glaring mistakes, if you know where to look. Eg, two in Trust Doesn't Rust. Near the beginning when we see Michael driving KITT the...

The things I disliked about KR2K had nothing to do with the inaccuracies of the future predictions. On that I agree that it was simply a fantasy, an imagination of the future, based on the writer's own ideas. I don't have a problem with that. What I do have a problem with is that it seemed to me as ...

Common Misconception About Trust Doesn't Rust

One of my all time fave episodes, but this has bugged me for a while. Right at the beginning, when Tony and the Rev find KARR, just where exactly is he? Most people I speak to think he's in Lab 3 actually inside the Knight Museum Of Technology, but that's not the case, as I understand it. Lab three ...

Maybe they don't mention KITT since they never credited William Daniels as the voice. My own opinion is that they don't need to give KITT a mention in the credits, ie, "A young loner and his amazing car, in a world of criminals...etc" because while Wilton Knight/Richard Basehart is actuall...
