Sad to see this is being handled as poorly here as it is at Knight Registries. Why wouldn't you contact Nick (VK) first to try to rectify this before lambasting him and his work in every channel you could find on the Internet?

Did they fix the playback issues so the KITT sounds like KITT and not some strangely warped version of what Daniels recorded?

But, it's a great game apart from KITT, and it's pretty cheap. A KITT look-a-like is icing on the cake

I was going to get this, and then saw the price and had to pass. But, a little bit flush with Christmas presents, I went for it. If it's truly limited to 2000 copies, this could be a neat talking piece down the road.

As KITTfan mentioned, I just want a base-model new KITT, 1:18 scale, with a working scanner to go with the ERTL 1:18 KITT & KARR, and my BttF2 DeLorean and my Mach 5.

I don't think there's any denying that the vast majority of the original Knight Rider was campy and silly. It was the era it was made in as well as an approach they were going for (and the new series' channeling of that spirit is one of my favorite parts, something obviously missing from the pilot)....

All I can say is bravo. It certainly wasn't without its faults (what isn't), but it was 1000x better than I was expecting. VK, Is an electronic release something you've thought of or looked into? I understand the desire to have a physical copy of the book on a shelf, but assuming ebooks have decent DRMs (I've never looked into those), that could be a cost-effective way to go, maybe even to generate some revenue in antic...

The MBS being incompatible with the nanotech and the perceived need for the nanotech for camoflauge, etc. are good points. In some ways, I think this might be a fail-safe of sorts. "Soul Survivor" showed just how dangerous KITT's shell could be without him in control--an all-but invincible...

Morally I'm against the promiscuity / homosexuality as well.

However, my beef with both scenes is that they were completely gratuitous and unnecessary. As a KR fan, I'd have much preferred the pointless lesbian scene to be replaced by a few lines of dialogue talking about the original KITT.

Perhaps he heals all the time and is actually bulletproof in attack mode? The thing I like about it is that this opens up some more real story possibilities. In the original KR they were constantly trying to make up problems for KITT since he was more or less invincible. Having a known vulnerability...
