Wasn't KR something like that before it became a show though? But people do get very tetchy about having their fave series made into movies.

Same noise as was used for the cylons in Battlestar Galactica with their zoomy red thingie. Apparantly (according to production notes) it was added afterwards.

What about David Hassle and a Half...? Friend of mine (Swiss) said it sounds Swiss, but seeing as they speak German (and French, and Italian) there it could still be German.
