Well working on them can be rather tiresome too. Especially when they've got the latest, greatest, state-of-the-art onboard diagnostic system in them too, with multiple computer modules all chatting away on their own bus. Mind you, I'd happily work on KITT if he was real

Or, I could be curious as to whether or not that was the actual air cleaner lid for that engine. Are you familiar with the air cleaner on my car? It's a VP Holden Commodore 3.8 V6. Know that one? No? Well that's why I'M asking about KITTs. I haven't seen one. And cloudkitt, don't take life so seriou...

So all you Trans Am owners out there, when Micheal lifts KITT's engine lid and tells him that 90% of his turbine blades are shot, is that a standard air cleaner cover he's holding? And are we supposed to believe that the Knight Industries turbofan propulsion system is mounted vertically?

I realise this isn't answering the above question, but one a few posts before. I used to use the Knight Replicas web board, until I had a hard disk crash & lost everything. Ordinarily, I would have just logged in using the "fogotten your password?" option, but it refuses to accept my email address, ...

So we all agree KITT's voxbox was upsidedown. That therefore means that in the pic supplied, that KITT was in Auto Cruise and Pursuit at the same time. I'm not sure if that situation occurred before. But let's open a real can of worms: where did the eyeball-type camera come from? It obviously was su...

What was the excuse for Micheal installing KITT's voxbox upsidedown on that dash, anyway? He drove KITT for years, you think he'd have known which way up it went!?!? When I first saw KR2000 I got a bit of a shock that KITT wasn't in the movie in his Trans Am body, but I got a bigger one when he was ...

Or after purchasing the Knight Rider music CD, you constantly have a track playing in your head that corresponds to whatever you are doing. And when you drive to work, you only play the fast tracks, loudly, on the stereo. Well, it IS the bosses ute after all. Handbrakies, reverse-turns and high-spee...

Well, for no reason other than to to show off my drawing skills, here's a pic I changed by adding a custom knight-inspired nose and scanner. Now I REALISE it's a Celica, but some of us are hard strapped to find any kind of Trans Am or Firebird, running or otherwise, so we have to make allowances. Th...

Does anyone here with a fairly accurate replica, say with a Colie nose for example, have a picture I can have of their car, from the front, with the bonnet up? Pretty much square on. I wish to have a play at drawing a possible turbine powerplant that KITT might have used in the engine compartment. A...

Sorry, don't have either. I'd love to start up my own site, possibly called kitt.com.au, but I just can't justify the cost, yet. Paying money for a domain name seems obscene to me, but anyway. Is it not possible to post a picture here directly?

It's easy on a computer, but how do you do it with hardware? I want to build a circuit that can play these sounds through a loud speaker. I've considered a multi message event-triggered sound recorder/playback circuit I read about once, but can't find it now. You pre-record your samples and select t...

It's be great to be able to modulate a sound sample like that to simulate the wind-up & wind-down of a turbine engine. I'm afraid it is presently beyond me, but I'm working on it!

As for the "running" sound though, it'd be hard to loop a sample without a pop or click I reckon. Any thoughts, anyone?

On the Knightregistries board there's a guy who sells a little black box with a digital sample of a turbine that comes with a horn speaker for your replica. His web site, albeit down at the moment, is w and he did have a video clip of his unit in a car driving past the camera. Sounded good to me. Th...

After watching Just My Bill, I just had to record KITT's engine sounds on my PC as he moves himself from one car park spot to another. The turbine's whine is just music to the ears! And it even changes from idling to slow driving. Man, I want my car to do that badly! It's not a T/A, but I reckon tha...
