Re: The Hoff's personal KITT for sale - currently at $975,000 w/ 11 bids
Wow, back up to $850k with 10 bids and over 12 days to go. I know people build their KITT replicas to their own personal tastes but I can't tell you how much it drives me absolutely bonkers whenever I see a "KITT" go up for sale or used in major publicity events or movies/TV appearances and it's not...

Re: How I would repair the Franchise lineage and start the new feature film.
Assasinge, I think that's being a bit harsh to the Camaro and to the fans like me who prefer it overall to the Mustang. I'll admit that when the 2008 backdoor pilot movie was announced and they decided to go with the Mustang, I wasn't a fan initially but the design are on me and I actually came to l...

Re: Michael/Stevie timeline
I totally agree that the inconsistencies within the show are maddening sometimes, and don't honestly paint Michael in the best light as a result. Perfect example is this discussion about Stevie. It wasn't until I was older and began to think about it where I went "Wait a minute -- if Michael was eng...

Re: How I would repair the Franchise lineage and start the new feature film.
Well, I think things have probably changed somewhat by now. Pontiac only objected to the car being referred to as a 'Pontiac' or 'Trans Am' after tons of fans started going to dealerships and wanting to buy KITT, not understanding that the car was simply made just for the show and that Pontiac didn'...

Re: How I would repair the Franchise lineage and start the new feature film.
March2875, your ideas are almost exactly what I have had in the works for years with my "Knight Rider Generations" novel that I'm in the process of writing. In fact, all the way back in 1998, when I was only 17, that was the first time I had thoughts about writing my novel and I started to come up w...

Nice job spotting that! I also love how the entire billboard is of 80's icons (and specifically, all from Universal Studios): Knight Rider, Jaws, and Airwolf. Funny how KITT is a reddish color and Jaws has some sort of bionic eye!

Re: Knight Rider 2008 killed the KR Tv franchise
Knight Rider 2008 and Team Knight Rider largely missed the mark by quite a bit in terms of being "good" compared to the original series, but they both had their moments where things lined up just right and showed that both COULD be good. In particular, with KR08 I think about the backdoor pilot movi...

Re: If Knight Rider had a 5th season and moved to syndication
I've always wondered about the gap between the end of the classic series and the events of Knight Rider 2000, which is why one of the novels I've been hard at work on for years now is going to tackle exactly this. In particular, one of the novels I'm writing (which is still untitled), is set in 1990...

Re: HOW LONG HAS KNIGHT RIDER ONLINE BEEN AROUND?
Consulting the Internet Wayback Machine, it looks like October 9, 1999 is the first snapshot they have saved for it, but the page from that date has a visitor count and shows that 14,631 had already visited it, so clearly the page had to exist before then. My own memories are a bit fuzzy on dates ba...

Re: Knight Rider 2008 killed the KR Tv franchise
Did you watch the entire series? I agree that parts of the episodes (and the backdoor pilot) were cringe-worthy as far as dialogue, VFX, and plot go, but some episodes were really strong overall, and they tended to get better in the second half of the season. IMO, it wasn't the 2008 series itself th...

Re: Stu Phillips' score re-issue (with new cues)
Just as an FYI, while I can understand the desire to listen to the music freely to avoid paying a higher cost for the CD's for those living outside the U.S., it is the sales of these CD's that 1) reimburse the artists and people behind the creation of the CD's, and 2) are a measurable metric that ca...

Re: Stu Phillips' score re-issue (with new cues)
I ordered the CD from Varese's website and had no problems whatsoever with them shipping it. In fact, it got here surprisingly fast! I also was able to secure the vinyl on Record Store Day and the artwork alone for the vinyl makes it a worthwhile investment, let alone the audio quality. As for the C...

Re: Stu Phillips' score re-issue (with new cues)
Varese also released the same content on a gorgeous 2 disc vinyl as a Record Store Day exclusive. I was lucky enough to have a friend snag one for me (and of course, I got the CD too), and I can't wait to hear the new material! If disc 2 of this new VS release sounds as good as the first disc that F...

Re: What Glen Larson thought of TKR and KR08
Knight Rider 2010 is the only thing that I consider not part of the canon and that's because it's only related to Knight Rider in name only. In no other way does it have any ties whatsoever to anything in any of the other series.

Re: What Glen Larson thought of TKR and KR08
Everybody has their preferences of what they want to officially acknowledge as canon and what buff they don't. We see it all the time with fans of other franchises like Star Trek (with a lot of die-hard fans absolutely hating the Abrams-verse), and Star Wars (first with the classic fans hating on th...

Re: Rank the Seasons
I'm nearly finished with a re-watch of every episode of the classic series and, as far as ranking the seasons go, here's my order from best to worst: 1. Season 3 (Some really memorable episodes, and the tipping point for me is that, aside from Season 4, it is the most "modern" feeling of t...

Concept schematics on the wall of the Semi
I was curious if anyone here knows where to find the concept schematic drawings we see on the walls on the Semi. Re: What Glen Larson thought of TKR and KR08
As far as I could tell, the extent of the CGI in TKR was the graphics of the vehicles on screen rotating around whenever they spoke, the missiles/lasers/EMP pulses the vehicles periodically fired, and parts of the building collapsing in the final episode (which also featured questionable blue screen...

Re: What Glen Larson thought of TKR and KR08
I don't agree with his words. First off, and this is purely just a minor correction to him, it was 5 people and 5 vehicles, not 6, in Team Knight Rider. Secondly, it wasn't a "disaster." If memory serves (and I've googled it and come up with nothing to see what the actual ratings were duri...
