Re: 1983 Trans-Am Recaro Special Edition KNIGHT RIDER PROJEC

I have to also say that he will get more street cred restoring this car as a Recaro. No Recaro should be destroyed to make a replica, there are plenty of Firebirds and later 3rd Gen Trans Am's that can be used as donors. When I bought my Trans Am a few years ago to make it into a replica, I had no i...

Re: Locations ?

OK, peoples, I think I found the location where that awesome burnout that KITT did ... The shopping centre in the background is Granary Square on the corner of McBean Parkway and Arroyo Park Drive in Santa Clarita. It looks like they've built a smaller building right in front on the corner o...

Re: Locations ?

I'm wondering, that if The Old Road and Interstate 5 run parallel to each other, then that scene couldn't have been filmed there, as the traffic in the background is nowhere near the road that Michael and KITT are on ? :?

Re: Locations ?

The spin you're referring to is the first single spin that car thief Jackson (played by Michael D. Roberts) does as he's in control of KITT at the intersection of Wiley Canyon Road and Tournament Road certainly looks like where that happened : http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y229/bladoww/cap010.jpg...

Re: Locations ?

Hi everyone, I have two locations which I'm not sure if they've been found as yet ... both are from Knight of the Phoenix ... The first one is where KITT does the tyre frying donuts 8) : http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/2002/vlcsnap2010021901h41m37.jpg And the second (which I think is quite signif...

Re: NEW knight rider project???

There really needs to be a weening of silly car movies that teens love from KR. The rice burners are just making car movies worse and using Gary Scott Thompson was not the direction we needed. Until we can make KR more grown up it will always struggle with the bigger audience and us fans. TOS KR wa...

Brand new car inspired by the original. It will be shiny black, have a red ocillating scanner light in the grill and be named KITT. Please do your best to find one that has concealed pop up headlights (or even recessed so that they can be covered over) to continue the sleekness of the car as a whol...

Re: NBC on Mustang: GM dropped the ball

btw how did the original KITT end up as a 1982 Trans Am? Wasn't that money as well? As far as I understand it, Glen chose it because it was a totally unique, futuristic design, unlike anything else available from any other manufacturer at the time and Pontiac actually gave Glen the first cars from ...

Yes, that's right. The TV show was set in the actual years they were made. I can't remember the actual episode, but I do remember at the end of that episode before the credits rolled, Michael comes out with a bottle of orange juice and says something along the lines of "1984 freshly squeezed th...

It never ceases to amaze me how advanced and ahead of their time the concepts and ideas on Knight Rider were.

So many modern day cars are coming out with all these things, no doubt inspired by the brilliant imagination of Glen Larson and the writers at that time ...

IIRC, Don Peake wanted to come up with something in a similar style to "Axel F" from Beverly Hills Cop when he came up with that song. I think he did a pretty good job. And that he most certainly did! Does anyone have Harold Faltermeyer's other two brilliant pieces of music called "D...
