Your project is coming along beautifully! Kudos.

I'm intersted in hearing more about the TF gig you were working on...if you can share.

Haven't checked this board in a while, I guess I missed something about my car?

In any event, everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion. So if someone doesn't like my car, that's okay. I'll still sleep soundly tonight.

Thanks to everyone for sharing their thoughts.

I'm not concerned about the heat. The mini-ITX boards are designed to run cooler than other motherboards like ATX form factor. In fact, some of the boards don't even use a fan on the integrated processor, just a heat sink. The board I got does have a fan on the processor, plus I have 2 fans in the c...

I believe it is called "stop motion animation"

They take a picture...move the figures a little bit...then take another picture...move the figures some more...and so on and so on.

That is actually a nice display of stereotyping by the writers and an insult to the fandom.
Just as assuming that every star trek fan lives in their parent's basement and never kissed a girl is a broad stereotype.

The nose on my car was made by Don Colie of Advanced Designs. It was one of the first ones he made and has been on the car since 2001.

It has held up very well and couldn't be more pleased with my purchase. In fact this was the reason I ended up getting all my conversion parts from Don.

Mine is going faster because I am using a 9 volt battery to power the unit. It you only use the batteries that come with the car (6 volts I think) the scan effect will run slower. Knightscan's scanner unit runs on 6-20 volts DC. I hooked it up to a 12 volt source to see how fast it scanned, but ther...

Hey guys...I did some upgrades to my car too. I replaced the scanner with a unit from that KnightScan company in the UK. I hooked it up so it runs off a 9volt battery in the trunk. I used the existing on/off switch for the scanner and hooked up the little "display" button so that when you ...

I don't use the scanner when I drive my car, I try not to bring attention to it when driving on public roads. I have a question concerning these replicas though for kitt-x. Doesn't running the scanner and/or leaving the dashboard lit without the car on drain the battery severely? If you have only on...

Nah, I wouldn't bother with that. If you were just visiting I doubt you would get hassled as long as you were obeying traffic laws.
