Re: karrs scanner
It was both cheaper and it served better from a storytelling perspective. They wanted you to go "WTF" seeing "KITT" in the museum. Ah, the '80s. The decade of big hair, synthesizers and evil twins.

Re: Zach Levi
Sorry, but I'm not buying it until NBC releases an official statement saying that the show is canceled. Although I don't think they will outright say it and instead let it be seen that it's not on the Fall schedule once it's released, if this turns out to be the case. This. It's not unlikely that L...

Re: KITT's guns
So violence is okay as long as the means by which is carried out doesn't exist yet? (not that lasers don't exist) It's a matter of relevance. Lasers are still classified under "sci-fi/fantasy violence". If I go out, I can find a gun, with actual bullets and then I can demonstrate it on so...

Re: KR Ratings
And right there, on the first post, we have proof about how little writing quality matters to the ratings. How in the world does "Ghost Whisperer" get 6.7 mil? It's a serialized chick flick with ghosts!

Re: Knight Rider 08: The Game
THQ has turned in some pretty good games. Personally, I've enjoyed SR2 more than any other sandbox game- certainly more than GTAIV.
Still, I stand by my earlier statement that sandbox is not the best genre for a Knight Rider game.

Re: Wheres turbo boost????
^^ Not to mention the issue of the actual result. We think we have it really bad with the CGI turbo boosts, but it's plenty hard and costly to set up a perfect, live-action turbo boost. The original certainly had issues with that as well. I've been watching the first season (finishing right now, as ...

Re: like the show but needs changes like i said before
Knight Rider fans (myself included) don't like them, but we are hardly the core audience of the show (or at least the audience the show is trying to appeal to). I take offense to that, as I am a huge KR fan, have been one all my life (my first word was KITT) and have never liked transformers, but i...

Re: like the show but needs changes like i said before
Regarding the transformations... I wouldn't expect them to go anywhere, should the show be renewed. Not permanently anyway. Re: Ratings for "Fly By Knight"
okay lets be honest... number of viewers only reflects the quality of show (usually)... Pilot was THE BEST episode of knight rider ever and it had 12 mio viewers - thats a fact. Neither of these are facts. Viewership has less to do with quality and more to do with impression. Good shows do get canc...

Re: Something to think about
I wasn't being cute with the "ewwwww". TKR was pretty clear that if Jenny had a relationship with Michael Knight, that was a father/daughter one. If TKR and the new Knight Rider's Jennies were one and the same person, then we're talking about one screwed-up family. And Mike about to die. H...

Re: Ratings for "Fly By Knight"
CW is a broadcast network, like NBC, CBS, ABC, and Fox it's just a lot smaller than those four. Thanks for that. Google isn't particularly informative when it comes to that stuff. And yeah, ratings are measured differently for each network. The CW had problems keeping up since it first came on the ...

Re: KR 2008 UK Viewer
Im the same,i download the episode a day after its shown in the US. NBC must know people do this? It's a moot point. Currently, Knight Rider isn't officially marketed overseas, so it's only the domestic market they're concerned about. Besides, just like with people who TiVo or DVR the show, downloa...

-The writing on the wall was an equation and Billy says, "He knew drug dealers wouldn't be able to solve it." That was a great message right there, study hard, don't get involved with drugs and you will be way cooler and smarter in the end. -Mike's heart felt talk about how he could have ...

Re: Ratings for "Fly By Knight"
^^ It has to do with expectations. Knight Rider had to be a huge success. That's what NBC wanted and, in fact, that's what it still needs badly. In addition, the show costs. The fact that what it costs now is still not enough to pull it off (it certainly needs a bigger budget than what it already ha...

Re: Something to think about
Two things: 1) Ewwww. 2) We're better off not even assuming anything after the original series has any bearing on the new Knight Rider (in fact, I'd argue how much of the original series has any bearing on the new KR). We could really just sit down and work a "universe" storyline, where we...

Re: KR 2008 UK Viewer
really I'm just wondering if NBC can tell how many people are downloading the episodes to give themselves a real opinion on how many viewers this show is getting. Considering this is the same network that aired a special "3D" episode of Chuck, just to show that theirs is bigger than the o...

Heroes (occasional because due to their story arcs its now both confusing, AND I never get a sense of "completion" in an episode...the only way to watch the thing is to have the whole season DVD so I don't have to wait a week). Dude, don't apologize. The show is awful. Hell, "Heroes&...

Re: Ratings for "Fly By Knight"
What sort of ratings does something like "Supernatural" achieve in the US? That's got to season 4 now, with what I would expect to be a "modest" viewership... It was struggling in its first and second seasons, did moderately last year and now it's actually doing pretty damn well...

In a videogame you won't even care if you'd collide head on with a semi. Heh, obviously you haven't seen me losing in a game. There's a reason why the dashboard is of a certain material and colour so it won't reflect on your windshield. But hey, perhaps it doesn't bother you but the fact remains yo...

Re: Live Discussion - Fly By Knight
Rare as it may be, I'm with LK on this one. The laser, while very much real, is still not particularly applicable as a weapon and still falls under the "fantasy violence" category. You can toy around with it a bit more. The guns are very much real and can't not have a different impact on p...

Are you really trying to make your point, by challenging my sense of self-respect? I'm not getting bent out of shape over something as mundane as a random internet comment. My self-respect is fine, thank you very much.

Have you never used the "If you loved me, you would do this" No. I don't like exposition. Its disgraceful how males today have been Pavlovian conditioned to expect violence for something so innocuous as a KR e-valentine. You're bordering becoming the equivalent of a hardcore feminist. It ...
