Some stuff was cool, some stuff sucked...

Well, the car, in "performance mode" was decent (the morphing was retarded) and "Mike Traucer" was cast well and acted well... Storyline was pretty good as was the music and overall feel (the tie-ins to the original). The rest (the acting and constant FORD product placement shots...

If it were my choice KITT's voice would obviously stay the same.

KARR's voice on the other hand, I couldn't think of a better KARR than James Earl Jones. Lucas probably owns his voice though ;)!

Thanks for the info guys. My background is Law (Bachelor's in Pre-Law, took one class in Entertainment Law) and I am pretty sure stuff like Super Size me is legal because it is factual (not slanderous/libel) and other spoofs are fine (like Saturday Night Live) because people know that's what they ar...

Who owns rights to Knight Rider? How do you get permission?

I assume it is Universal but am not sure. I am an actor/filmaker and am looking into doing a film about a character who is obsessed with Knight Rider. I also have a script for the Real Knight Rider movie (not a spoof at all and yes it has KARR). My intention is to make the spoof film (easier to make...

It wouldn't be that big of a deal to anyone if they just pretended KR2000 didn't exist.

That's what the Higlander movie series did. Christopher Lambert said that (when creating Highlander 3) they just pretended Higlander 2 never happened and so should everyone else :)!

Not to mention the guy kept calling it a "1981" Firebird.

In case it's not common knowledge, that body style is ONLY 1982-1992.

I hope they don't turn it into a spoof movie like Starsky and Hutch.

I just really hope they use the same car for KITT. I REALLY wish they would use the 98-02 style Firebird (it REALLY looks like it was modeled after KITT with the lights and even the hole in the center where the light bar would go. They probably won't since they don't make the car anymore but it real...

Vin Diesel to play Michael Knight???

Don't get excited, or upset, this is NOT a news post. I was just thinking, maybe instead of trying to get an actor very similar to Hasselhoff, just get someone who can play the part (Paul Walker's acting sucks and though Ben Affleck is a great actor I would never buy into him driving any type of Tra...

I think it looks awesome without the hood lines! It could be a one-piece fibergalss front clip that opens in reverse like a Corvette's hood (I mean bonet :)!).

FYI- The steering wheel's airbag can be easily removed. Some you don't have to program it out of the computer, others you do, others you put resistors in line. I have been modifiying and racing F-Bodies for 7 years. I've put new drivetrains in old cars and made new cars not so new. It's easy to put ...

Sorry, I typed SKAR but I meant to type KARR. Obviously, KARR had reasons to have the scanner but I am just saying cosmetically, that was KITT's selling point to the audience and the other cars should have had it. About the Chevy thing, I understood that's how the story line went I just thought it w...

That's crazy! KARR had a scanner, KITT wasn't one of a kind! It's true, the scanner is the trademark which makes any Knight Rider without it seem lame IMO. Probably part of the reason the show didn't catch on, people like shiny things and flashy lights :)! SO, if the show had the rights to use the n...

OMG!!! That was a series!!!! Wow, didn't know that! Well anyways, why didn't they have a Firebird in the line-up? I barely remember it but I don't even recall a scanner on the Mustang (which had a perfect opening for it).

Pontiac was waiting for the return of Knight Rider...

At least it appears that way to me. First take the 1992 Firebird/Formula/Trans-Am for example. The front bumper has the same styling as KITT. It smoothes the front out getting rid of the turnsignals near the lights then it has the foglights and turnsignals in the sideways "tear" openings s...
